Yuba Lake

September 14 through September 16 we went camping at Yuba Lake (south of Nephi) with Nana and Papa.  We went wave running and swimming.  Adi thought the water was pretty fun (but a little cold) and camp fire was pretty much the coolest thing ever.  She didn't take her eyes off it! She slept terrible the entire weekend and wouldn't nap seemingly because camping was so exciting she didn't want to miss a thing and just wanted to be up checking things out! Ben and I had a blast wave running and relaxing.  Adi would get so exited when we would come in from wave running, she'd kick and squeal.

Miller Race #7

September 8th was Miller Race #7, it was a qualifying weekend.  The tag class was only me and Leslie.  Leslie actually out qualified me but I won both the pre main and the main.  In the shifter class there were 18 karts.  I qualified right in the middle.  In the pre main I had a great start (one of my best ever).  I finished right where I qualified.  In the main event I had a TERRIBLE start because a kart in front of me stalled.  I was passed by almost the entire field (all but 2 karts).  I passed everyone back that qualified slower than me. Then I ended up 6th because of a red flag crash.  I didn't stay for awards because they drug the day out so long that I was late for a birthday dinner.  I rushed off the scales and went home to set a record in fastest time getting ready (10 minutes). Adi had a sleepover with Nana at our house so Ben and I could enjoy the night and stay out at a downtown hotel and not drive home.  It was a fun night out with lots of friends.

Grand Junction Race SKUSA RMPKC 5&6

September 1-September 3 (Labor Day weekend) was the final double header weekend for the SKUSA Rocky Mountain Pro Kart Challenge.  There was really low turn out this weekend so I took 2nd both days in the S3 class.  I got 3rd for the series overall .  While the series did have low turn out I did beat out several drivers for the 3rd place spot so it wasn't a total gimme.  This SKUSA series was also the border war between Colorado and Utah.  Utah won by just 4 points.  Adi and I made Ben come with us this trip.
