Yay hubs got me a present!!

The adorable children's boutique Oopsie Daisy is about a block from our house so hubs went there today and found the diaper bag I wanted but in PURPLE! I had it in my registry in a pretty taupe because the purple had been discontinued.  Hubs found it there in my favorite color.  Love it!!  It's by Timi and Leslie.  Happy Monday to me!!

So with less than two months... 58 days to be exact... left I don't want to cave and buy maternity clothes but finding work appropriate outfits with my strict work dress code is getting so hard!! My mom bought me this dress 8 years ago and it's still loose enough through the middle to accommodate the bump :)

New Beginnings

A blank blog is a little more intimidating than expected, but the only way to fix that is to start filling it up. A little background:

I teach kindergarten (yay getting paid for producing genius children and doing the hokey pokey).

I race go karts competitively which will be a large drive in this blog.

I love fashion, nutrition and fitness which will also make appearances on these page.

I obsess over my kitten Oz.. no really he turns cat haters around and cat lovers into crazies.

I am married to a hero whom I love dearly and will share censored stories from his exciting job.

And I am about to become a mama for the first time.

I've been writing since I was young and with impending maternity leave my mother has urged me to start a blog... so here it is. Follow along with my family's racing, my mother and my obsession with fashion, some wild police stories and of course the adventures of becoming a new mama.

Pregnancy update:

31 weeks (due in two months from tomorrow!!)

Gained 15 pounds (yes this is important because go karts and their drivers have certain weight classes)

Little Sprinkle is a girl.
Cravings are a myth.

And finally, a quirky note: I tragically had to take out my belly button ring just this morning after almost 11 years! ha!
